Our Mission : to promote physical, emotional and spiritual wholeness. 

Ongoing Activities:

Cancer support group - Meets the third Tuesday each month at 1:00 PM in the Parlor

Prayer pager ministry - For people who are unable to stay connected to the church because of an illness. A pager is issued that vibrates when a call is made to that pager number to let them know someone is thinking/praying for them.

Blood Pressure screenings - Every Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, before Wed Night supper

Critical Condition workshops -

Exercise Classes -Every Monday and Friday 9:30-10:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall...all ages and abilities welcome.

Health Classes -  Include Exercise, Bible Study and Nutrition.  Starts Jan 12 and will meet on Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 to 10:00 AM for 12 weeks. A second series will start on Jan 15 and meet from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.  Both programs meet in the Fellowship Hall.  

Health Fairs - Scheduled periodically, see Pictures

next Health Fair:  March 1 in the Fellowship Hall, 10 to 12...Learn about cancer, osteoporosis, MRS (resistant staph infections), heart disease, Alzheimer's, nutrition, organic foods, wheat bread and more.  PSA, glucose and Cholesterol levels also checked. 

Tai Chi- Every Monday and Thursday 5:30-6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall...all ages and abilities welcome.

Volunteer needs:

  • Visit home bound members (training provided) 

  • Nurses to help develop curriculum for training and conduct training   

  • Provide transportation for home bound members (grocery store, church, doctor appointments, bank, etc.)                                                                  

  • Help get and deliver groceries, medications, etc. for shut-ins or those temporarily incapacitated 

  • Help coordinate meals for sick members and their families 

  • Help prepare a meal or part of a meal for sick members and their families 

  • Take blood pressures at Wednesday Night Supper 1-2 times month, RN’s, LPN’s or CA’s 

  • Be a care-giver reliever (training provided) relieve care-givers for support group or errands, 1-2 times month 

  • Lead a class in low or high impact aerobic exercise or yoga class (1-2 days week, AM and PM)  

  • Health educator (provide 1-2 classes on a topic: diabetes, heart disease, medication, nutrition, etc.) 2-3 x year 

  • Help put together a quarterly health newsletter  

  • Write an article for the health newsletter 

  • Help with a health bulletin board (collect brochures, information, organize and decorate) 

  • Be part of or start a support group for (grief, care giver, cancer, etc. you name it)  

  • Volunteer to help write grants 

  • Help plan and orchestrate a health fair once a year.
