Worship
According to Reference.com:
Christian worship gives honor to God and is the central act of Christian faith. It is a Christian's way to give back to God. It is the norm for the Christian church to hold worship ceremonies on Sundays. In the early church it was common that songs from scriptures of the Biblical book of Psalms were used and later hymns wer composed which the congregation would join together and sing with the accompaniment of the church organ. With the technology available to us today, Worship has been modernized and is accessible via the Internet, audio CDs and the radio. It has also revolutionized with the variety of instruments that are used such as pianos, drums, electric guitars, and sometimes even a full orchestra.
Porterfield Memorial UMC has services every Sunday that provide unique opportunities to worship God together. Choose a service at 8:30, 9:15 or 11:10 AM. Each service is different, yet all offer the grace and peace of Jesus Christ.
