ADULT ENSEMBLES
Chancel Choir (click here for our newsletter)
The Chancel Choir rehearses Wednesdays, 7:05 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the choir room. In addition to singing during morning worship services, the Chancel Choir presents special concerts in the church and in the community throughout the year. New singers are encouraged to join. No audition is necessary, but a love of singing is required. The Chancel Choir is conducted by Steven Jones.
Women’s Ensemble
The Women’s Ensemble is open to all female members of the Albany community. This group rehearses Wednesdays, 6:15 p.m. – 6:55 p.m. in the church choir loft. No audition is required. The Women’s Ensemble is directed by Marcy McCarty.
Canticum Novum (New Song)
Canticum Novum specializes in singing Christian music from the Renaissance through the present. The group sings approximately once a month in worship and is comprised of adults, high school and college students. Membership is by invitation of director/conductor Steven Jones.
Silvertones Choir
Our “seasoned citizen” choir meets bimonthly on Monday mornings from 10:30 to 11:00 in the Sanctuary and provides music once a month for 8:30 worship. This group is directed by Steven Jones.
Adult Handbell Choir
Meets Wednesday nights from 6:05 – 6:55. Our Adult Handbell Choir rings in worship approximately six times a year as well as for special occasions. An ability to read music is preferred but we’re will to teach those skills. This group is directed by Jon Durkovic.
