MINISTRY TO MEN
Vision
The PUMM Vision is defined as a core group of men, partnering with our pastors, to invite and initiate spiritual growth opportunities for all men of our church.
The focus is not inward, but outward to all men, assisting them to engage the process of spiritual growth.
Mission
Our Mission is “to encourage and equip men to be in Christian Ministry at home, in church, at work, and in the world”.
Goal
Our Goal is creating a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth to maturity as Christ followers. Our spiritual formation is marked by spiritual reproduction, as our faith is passed on to others.
Service Projects
The PUMM Group participate in service projects throughout the church: Helping the PUMW with their garage sales, as well as our own, provides cooking services to groups in the church, as required and handyman projects as they develop. We provide financial support to approximately twenty five Service Organizations and Mission needs.
Ramp Ministry
The Methodist Men wish to offer MEMBERS of Porterfield Methodist, a service to build ramps to meet medical requirements. If you or someone you know needs this service, please contact Joe Brown at 436-4232 or email Joe Brown. The cost to do this is approximately $250.00 (+ -) depending on length. Do not let the cost stop you from calling. There are sources to help when a need exists.
Bike Ministry
Do you have a bike gathering dust? Get it out of sight and put it to good use providing transportation to those in need in Albany. Our United Methodist Men’s Group is available to pick up and repair (if necessary) that bike and get it to those who need it. Contact Brady Lee at 229-894-6472 or email Brady to schedule a pick up.
Meetings
The PUMM Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm (except June, July, August), in the Fellowship Hall, with a supper served and a program.
